Feeling Insignificant?
(I will like to share a devotional from the "Daily Bread". Hope you feel very significant after you read it)
We are among seven billion people who coexist on a tiny planet that resides in a small section of a rather insignificant solar system. Our earth, in reality, is just one minuscule blue dot amount millions of celestials bodies that God created. On the gigantic canvas that is our universe, our beautiful, majestic Earth appears as a tiny speck of dust.
That could make us fell extremely unimportant and inconsequential. However, God's Word suggests that just the opposite is true. Our great God, who measures the waters in the hollow of his hand, has singled out each person on this planet as supremely important, for we are made on His image. He created everything for us to enjoy. Also, for all who have trusted Jesus as Savior, God has given purpose. And then there's this: Despite the vastness oh this world, God cares specially about each of us. He knows what we are going to say and what we are thinking. We can't escape His presence, and He planned our earthly existence before we born.
We don't need to feel unimportant when the God of the universe is interested in us! The God who created the universe is the GOD who loves you.

It depends
A Sultan dreamed that he had lost all of his teeth. When he woke up from his dream, he command to call one of his wise men to interpret his dream.
What misfortune my lord!, exclaimed the wise man, each tooth fallen represents the loss of a relative of your majesty.
What insolence!, shouted the Sultan. How you dare to say such a thing? Get out of here! His called his guard and ordered to gives 100 lashes to the wise man.
Later he ordered to bring another wise men to interpret his dream. This, after listening to the Sultan with attention, told him: Great Sultan! Great happiness has been reserved for you! The dream means that you will survive to all of your relatives. The Sultan, with a big smile, ordered to give 100 gold coins to the wise men.
When the wise man came out of the palace, one of the courtiers told him admired: It is not possible! The interpretation that you gave to the Sultan is the same one as the first wise mean. I don't understand why the Sultan paid the first wise man with 100 lashes and he paid you 100 gold coins.
Remember my friend, the second wise man responded. It all depends on the way you say things. One of the challenges facing humanity is to learn to communicate.
Of the communication depends the peace or war, the happiness or misfortune. That the true must be such in any situation, there is no doubt, but the way that must be communicated is causing in some cases major problems.
The true can be compared with a precious stone. If we launched against the face of someone, you can hurt, but if you covered with a delicate packaging and offered with tenderness will certainly be accepted with pleasure.
It depends on you.

Sleep when the wind blows
Some years ago a landowner was a looking for employees to work on his lawn located along the cost of South Atlantic. He offered the job to many people, but he received many rejections because his lawn was located in an area where horrible storms passed and destroyed the region.
Finally, a little man come closer to the landowner.
- Are you a good farmer? the landowner asked him.
- Very well, I can sleep when the wind blows, the little man answered.
Quite confused with the response, the landowner, desperate for help hired him.
The little man took care of the entire field.Staying busy from dawn to dusk. The landowner was satisfied with his work.
One night, the wind blew noisily.The landowner jumped out of the bed, grabbed a lamp and ran up to the employee house. He shouted Him: Get up! A storm is coming! The little man turned around in the bed and told him: No sir, I already told you, that I can sleep when the wing blows.
Infuriated by the response, the landowner was tempted to fire him. But instead he hurried to go out and prepare the land for the storm. For his astonishment all hay piles had been covered with canvases firmly tied to the soil, the cows were protected in the barn, the chickens in the coop, the windows properly closed and secured. Everything was tied.
The landowner then understood what his employee had meant him. And his returned to its bed also to sleep when the wind was blowing.
When you are spiritually, mentally & physically prepared you don't have nothing to be afraid.

The love and the time
There was a time in a very small island, like a paradise, inhabited by the feelings. In this island the love, sadness, and all other feelings lived in harmony. One day in one of those days that nature was not good, the love woke up with a terrified feeling that his island was flooded.
But he forgot rapidly the fear and took care of all the feelings to make sure that they will be saved. Everyone took their boats and ran up to a high mountain were they can see the island been flooded without any risk.
Only love did not hurried, because love never rushes. He wanted to stay a little bit more in his island. When he realized that he was almost drowning, he remembered that he should not die.Then he ran in direction of the boats that departed screaming for help.
The wealth hear him, but he was afraid that his ship full of gold and silver will sink if he saved him. Then passed the vanity that also said that she can't help the love because he was dirty and she can't tolerated that. Behind passed the happiness but she was so happy that she can't hear the love asking for help.
Without hope the love sat on the last stone that was still seen in the surface of the water and begin to wane. His crying was so sad that attracted the attention of an old man who went with his boat, rescue the love, and took him to the highest mountain together with the other feelings.
Recovering, the love asked the wisdom who was the old man who helped him. To which she responded "Time". Love questioned "why only the time helped me?" The wisdom responded:
"Because only the time has the capacity to understand how valuable is the love"

Don't give up
I will name her Sarah. We met her in the city of Ambato, Ecuador during a mission trip. Our music group was invited to sing during a series of conferences for a church in that city. Every night we opened the conference with a concert. But one night,while we were singing, we saw her. Standing in from of the stage during the whole concert crying.
At the end of the concert,one of the ladies from the group went to see Sarah and hug her. Then she called the rest of the group to pray for Sarah. At that point Sarah told us her story. This girl with only fifteen years old was raped. Her mother took her to rehabilitation center to overcome her trauma and there she was raped twice more. She felt dirty, without any value and she was planning to take her own life.
Her mother take her to the conference and Sarah challenge God. She told God "if you really love me and you don't want me to kill myself please give a sign" "if any of those people singing that they don't know me comes and gives me a hug, then I will know that you love me".
God demonstrated Sarah how much he loves her. That in spite of her wounds she has a life ahead and gave her a new beginning.
No matter the circumstances that have happened in your life, you can start again. Don't give up. No surrender means fighting, you do not let down by the fight, you continue until you crush what afflicts you.
Sarah always dream to be a Doctor. When we returned to the United States, we decided to raise money and when Sarah went to college we paid for her first semester. Last week I called a friend in Ecuador and she told me that Sarah continued her studies.

Hunger
The United Nations General Secretary, Ban Ki-moon in a statement said that the world hunger can be eliminated in our time. As a part of the "Agenda 2030", he invited world leaders and their private sectors to join together to achieve this goal. He emphasize that hunger "is much more than the lack of food, it's a terrible injustice"
The World Food Program reported that hunger is the greatest risk of world health. It kills more people than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis. It is estimated that 805 million people in the world, one of every nine, do not have enough food to live a healthy life.
We can all help. But how? Sharing our "daily bread with others". Sharing the blessings that God provides us every day.
The human being lives in hunger. Hunger for forgiveness, hunger for acceptance, hunger for an opportunity to grow and have a new beginning. We can help them sharing our achievements, our expertise and our material blessings.
We must inspire the world with the desire to help the needy, with the desire to create better generation of people interested in the welfare of others.
Let's start today! One step at a time will be a big difference.
